The Coulson Process

This is our first meeting with you! Our team will chat with you about your project and get a sense of your lifestyle and taste in home design. We can meet wherever you’d like! Show us your favourite coffee place.

You’ll have a lot of questions before you decide to take this journey with us – that’s what this stage is for. We want you to see Coulson Design Build Inc. as your partner in this process, someone to rely on. While this process may feel stressful sometimes, we make it a priority to have fun.

Things are starting to ramp up. Your ideas are being finalized and our team is busy compiling design choices. We will also discuss budgets and provide a preliminary contract at this time; this is essential to set expectations and outline everyone’s role in this project.

Once a deposit is given, the designs we discussed with you at length are put to paper. Our team will ensure that you’re satisfied with the final set of designs.

Our team will then submit working permits and drawings to the municipality so we can get shovels in the ground! At this time, we also start selecting finishes with you. We offer homeowners a lot of guidance at this stage – we’ve done this a lot and can better picture how a selection will look in a home.

The construction process has begun. Whether you’re renovating your home, or building one from the ground up, we will be with you every step of the way. Timelines between projects vary drastically, depending on the size of the project and weather conditions. We’ll make sure you have a realistic understanding of the project’s timeline.

Our team will do a final walk-through of your home to make sure that everything is up to our very high standards. Then, it’s all yours! This incredible journey has come to an end.
