These homeowners have always wanted to live on the water – this lot overlooking the Detroit River suited them perfectly. Working with Montemurri Residential Design, our team designed a home that complements the natural beauty of the property, while creating a stand-out home.
The homeowners were extremely fond of a black and white palette, so we used it as a starting point to create a dramatic, yet minimalistic design. By using so little colour throughout the interior and exterior of the home, the beautiful view of the water was allowed to shine.
We brought enormous attention to detail to this home, going so far as painting the exterior Hardie Board accents because they weren’t black enough. Inside, the dramatic black accents continue through the open-concept living space. While the dining room, living room, and kitchen are distinct areas, we designed them to flow into each other and make for easy entertaining. All the finishes were carefully selected, and custom furnishes were often sourced, like the cabinetry throughout the home.
